OHAC is a statewide trade association of Ohio’s 75 Public Housing Authorities. Housing Authorities are political sub-divisions of the State of Ohio organized to administer Federal funds received from Housing and Urban Development through annual contracts and other housing initiatives.
The Chillicothe VA Medical Center provides mental health services, medical services, and a wide range of nursing home care services to Veterans living in southeastern and south central Ohio. They also work with the AMHA through the administration of the VASH program and other housing programs affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The Athens County Habitat for Humanity works to provide safe, decent, and sanitary housing to low-income residents of Athens County.
ODJFS assists Ohio individuals and families with obtaining stable employment, filling for government benefits, or gaining needed education/training.
The site provides Ohioans a way to search for current employment opportunities in the area that are relevant to their educational and training background.
The Athens County Human Resource Development, an arm of ODJFS, works with residents of Athens County to provide services such as GED testing, financial and adult literacy, as well as job training services.
The Athens County Food Pantry serves families in need of food during critical economic times.
